這是一個(gè)經(jīng)典的議論文題目，而RE3 UNIT 1 第二篇文章講的就是關(guān)于運(yùn)動(dòng)員的，希望對(duì)你打開思路會(huì)有啟發(fā)。

總結(jié)一下課文， 是什么造就了奧運(yùn)冠軍？

 1. 基因---- 身體因素（舉例：快速抽動(dòng)肌肉纖維/ 慢速抽動(dòng)肌肉纖維） 2. 基因--- 身高（舉例：高個(gè)子的適合游泳， 而體操需要個(gè)子更小而靈活）   3.環(huán)境因素--- 地理因素（舉例：高海拔地區(qū)的人先天血液中帶有更多血紅蛋白，使得身體更適宜跑步。  環(huán)境因素還包括文化方面。   4. 堅(jiān)持不懈的訓(xùn)練和練習(xí) （舉例：跳水運(yùn)動(dòng)員）

今天我利用這篇RE3的文章， 來(lái)寫一下這篇議論文， 中間我引用了這篇課文里舉的例子。

專業(yè)運(yùn)動(dòng)員的收入過(guò)高嗎？

Are professional athletes overpaid?

When it comes to the topic of whether professional athletes worth such inflated income, some people hold the opinion of opposition when it is frustrating to hear someone earn such a large salary by playing a game . In my opinion, to some extent, they do worth the income, If you look at it objectively.

當(dāng)談到職業(yè)運(yùn)動(dòng)員是否值得如此多的收入時(shí)，通過(guò)一場(chǎng)比賽就賺這么多錢，聽起來(lái)令很多普通人沮喪，他們持反對(duì)意見。在我看來(lái)，在某種程度上，如果你客觀地看待，他們確實(shí)值得這樣的收入。

When the public look at professional athletes’ salaries, it’s easy to say they make far too much money for playing a game. After all, athletes earn more money than teachers, doctors and members of the military. More than half the people in the United States make less than $62,000 a year, which seems tempting to think it is not fair for those athletes receive millions of dollars merely to entertain. 

當(dāng)公眾看到職業(yè)運(yùn)動(dòng)員的薪水時(shí)，很容易說(shuō)他們打一場(chǎng)比賽賺的錢太多了。畢竟，運(yùn)動(dòng)員比教師、醫(yī)生和軍人掙得多得多。在美國(guó)，超過(guò)一半的人年收入不到6.2萬(wàn)美元，這似乎讓人忍不住認(rèn)為，那些僅僅為了娛樂大眾就獲得數(shù)百萬(wàn)美元收入的運(yùn)動(dòng)員是不公平的。

Nevertheless,  it’s important to remember that those athletes aren’t the only people who get the money in this process. They’re an essential part of enormously profitable companies. For example, The National Football League, and the National Basketball Association generate billions of dollars in revenue. Without the players, the leagues wouldn’t exist. Players’ salaries are simply their certain share of all the cash these hugely successful businesses bring in. Plus, not to mention the other parties that are greatly benefit , such as sponsorship. 

然而，重要的是要記住，這些運(yùn)動(dòng)員并不是唯一能拿到錢的人， 他們只是利潤(rùn)豐厚的公司的重要組成部分。例如，美國(guó)國(guó)家橄欖球聯(lián)盟和美國(guó)國(guó)家籃球協(xié)會(huì)產(chǎn)生了數(shù)十億美元的收入。沒有球員，聯(lián)盟就不會(huì)存在。球員的工資只是他們從這些巨大成功的企業(yè)所帶來(lái)的現(xiàn)金流中所占的一定份額。另外，更不用提其他的獲益方，例如贊助商。

Moreover, the way to become a pro athlete takes hard work of more then a decade. Most athletes began arduous training at young age and it’s hard for ordinary people to imagine the tedious repeated work that fill up their years. As Greg Louganis, winner of four Olympic diving gold medals, says divers must train the same thing to be prefect . “It only takes less than 3 seconds from takeoff until you hit the water, so it has to be reflex.You have to repeat the dives hundreds maybe thousands of times.”  

第二，成為職業(yè)運(yùn)動(dòng)員需要長(zhǎng)達(dá)十年以上的艱苦努力。大多數(shù)運(yùn)動(dòng)員在很小的時(shí)候就開始了艱苦的訓(xùn)練，對(duì)于普通人來(lái)說(shuō)，很難想象他們的歲月中所從事的單調(diào)重復(fù)的練習(xí)。曾獲得四枚奧運(yùn)跳水金牌的格雷格·洛加尼斯(Greg Louganis)說(shuō)，跳水運(yùn)動(dòng)員要想成為完美選手，就必須反復(fù)訓(xùn)練一個(gè)動(dòng)作。“從起飛到出水只需要不到3秒的時(shí)間，所以必須是反射性的。你必須重復(fù)上千上萬(wàn)次?！?/span>

In addition, a pro athlete needs to be extremely tough not only physically, not also mentally. Normal people couldn’t handle the training loads , not to mention the psychological pressure. They need to be able to adjust to such intense anxiety in order to manage to perform their best in the limelight . On the other hand, think about the tremendous amount of frustration if they fail the public’s great expectations. As a result these people are especially prone to depression and emotional disorder. Thus in my opinion, those who can shoulder the most difficulty should gain the biggest returns. 

此外，一名職業(yè)運(yùn)動(dòng)員不僅在身體上，而且在精神上，都需要極其艱苦的訓(xùn)練。正常人無(wú)法承受這種訓(xùn)練的負(fù)荷，更不用說(shuō)心理壓力了。他們需要能夠適應(yīng)這種強(qiáng)烈的焦慮，以便在聚光燈下表現(xiàn)得最好。另一方面，想想如果他們辜負(fù)了公眾的期望，會(huì)有多大的挫敗感。因此，這些人特別容易抑郁和情緒紊亂。因此在我看來(lái)，那些能承擔(dān)最大困難的人應(yīng)該得到最大的回報(bào)。

Last but not least, when we judge people’s income, it is sensible to think from the contribution of bigger aspects. Those pro athletes enhance not only the image of the team , but more importantly the reputation of a country. They are also constitute a major part of the public ’s spiritual life, which means a lot to the whole society. 

最后，當(dāng)我們判斷人們的收入時(shí)，理智的做法應(yīng)該是從更大的方面來(lái)考慮。這些職業(yè)運(yùn)動(dòng)員不僅提高了球隊(duì)的形象，更重要的是提高了一個(gè)國(guó)家的聲譽(yù)。他們也是我們公眾精神生活的重要組成部分，對(duì)整個(gè)社會(huì)意義重大。

In sum, I believe for those who put in years of hard work and demanding training deserve every penny they earn. It still takes luck and multiple factors to be the one who stands out from a thousand , leaving countless still struggling. 

總而言之，我相信對(duì)于那些多年辛勤工作和嚴(yán)格訓(xùn)練的人來(lái)說(shuō)，他們掙的每一分錢都是值得的。況且，成功仍然需要運(yùn)氣和多種因素，才能從上千人中脫穎而出，留下無(wú)數(shù)仍在掙扎的人。
